Fire Element
The Dance of Passion and Transformation

In this piece of the "Alchemy of Serenity" series, I explore the element of Fire, deeply connected in Ayurveda to the Pitta dosha. Represented through the dynamic and intense movements of a couple engaged in pole dance, the artwork embodies the fiery energy of Pitta: passion, drive, digestion, and transformation. The vibrant reds and oranges that dominate the background evoke the internal heat and metabolic fire governed by Pitta. The dancers, entwined around the pole, symbolize the focused and penetrating nature of this dosha. Just as Pitta can both fuel our ambition and, when imbalanced, lead to inflammation and intensity, their movements suggest the potent and transformative power of inner fire – the burning away of stagnation and the forging of new vitality. This dance of passion becomes a visual metaphor for the dynamic interplay of fire within the body, its capacity for both creation and potential imbalance in the journey towards serenity.

By purchasing artwork from my site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these policies. Thank you for supporting my art!
Thank you for investing in my original artwork! To ensure its lasting beauty, please follow these simple care instructions:
This artwork is created with a combination of acrylic paint, oil, and delicate Swarovski crystals on a 3ft x 5ft acrylic on canvas. Due to the mixed media nature of this piece, special care should be taken.
Handling:
Always handle the artwork with clean, dry hands or wear cotton gloves to avoid transferring oils or dirt to the surface.
Avoid touching the painted areas and especially the Swarovski crystals directly, as this can dull their brilliance or cause them to detach over time.
When moving the artwork, lift it carefully from the sides of the stretcher bars or frame (if applicable), providing even support.
Placement:
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the colors in both the acrylic and oil paints to fade and the canvas to weaken over time.
Control Temperature and Humidity: Avoid displaying the artwork in areas with extreme temperature fluctuations or high humidity, such as bathrooms or near heating vents. These conditions can damage the canvas, paint layers, and adhesives used for the crystals.
Keep Away from Dust and Pollutants: Dust can accumulate on the surface of the artwork, dulling its appearance. Smoke, aerosols, and other airborne pollutants can also deposit residue.
Cleaning:
Dusting: Gently dust the artwork with a very soft, dry, lint-free cloth or a soft brush (like a makeup brush). Use light, sweeping motions.
Cleaning Painted Surfaces: Avoid using any liquids, solvents, or harsh chemicals to clean the painted surfaces. If necessary, consult a professional art conservator for cleaning advice.
Cleaning Swarovski Crystals: To gently clean the Swarovski crystals, you can use a very soft, dry brush to remove dust. Avoid using any liquids or abrasive cleaners on the crystals. If a crystal becomes loose, please contact me for advice on reattachment. Do not attempt to glue it back yourself with household adhesives as this may damage the surrounding paint.
Protection:
Consider framing the artwork behind glass or acrylic to provide an extra layer of protection from dust and handling. Ensure there is adequate space between the artwork and the glazing to prevent sticking.
If storing the artwork, wrap it carefully in acid-free paper or bubble wrap and store it flat in a cool, dry place.
By following these care instructions, you can help preserve the beauty and integrity of your unique artwork for many years to come. If you have any specific concerns or questions about the care of your piece, please do not hesitate to contact me.
